Prospect Place 1 & 2 at Battersea Power Station
Client: Battersea Power Station
Location: London
Prospect Place forms a key part of the landmark Battersea Power Station regeneration masterplan and represents the first residential development in the United Kingdom designed by the internationally renowned Gehry Partners. The development comprises two striking residential buildings, Prospect Place 1 and Prospect Place 2, located on the eastern side of Electric Boulevard and providing 308 high-quality apartments. Characterised by their distinctive undulating façades and individually designed residences, the buildings create a unique architectural identity whilst contributing to the transformation of Battersea into a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood.
Appointed by VolkerLaser, our role was to provide RIBA Stage 5 design services for the waterproofing, insulation, paving, and green roof packages across the development. Working closely with the project team, we developed the architect’s Stage 4 proposals to deliver robust and buildable solutions for the terraces, roof areas, lift overrun roofs, and landscaped spaces. The project required a coordinated design approach to accommodate the complex architectural geometry while ensuring long-term performance, durability, and effective water management. The completed scheme successfully combines innovative architectural design with high-quality technical detailing, creating exceptional outdoor spaces for residents within one of London’s most significant regeneration projects.
