Sandyford Community Fire Station

Modern Facilities with Community at Their Heart Bluesky Architects contributed to the delivery of ten new fire stations across Staffordshire, including the Tamworth and Sandyford Community Fire Stations. Developed under a PFI contract for the Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority, these purpose-built facilities set a new benchmark for modern fire service infrastructure.

Each station features advanced operational amenities, including a dedicated training house and tower that support realistic, scenario-based exercises, ensuring firefighters are thoroughly prepared for the demands of frontline service. Complementing their operational capabilities, the stations are designed to engage and support the local community, providing welcoming, flexible spaces for public use and strengthening the relationship between the fire service and the people it protects.
