Bluesky Architects Announces Promotion of Gemma Leacy to Associate

Bluesky Architects is delighted to announce the promotion of Gemma Leacy to the role of Associate.

Gemma has been a highly valued member of the Bluesky team since joining the practice in 2008, making a significant and lasting contribution to the studio’s growth, culture and project delivery over nearly two decades.

A leading member of Bluesky’s Bluelight design team, Gemma is recognised for her expertise in the design and delivery of complex emergency services and blue-light facilities. Most recently, she acted as Project Lead for the new NWAS Merseyside HART facility, which was shortlisted for Building of the Year – North at the National Project Excellence Awards 2025 (NEPA).

In addition to her project leadership, Gemma has played a pivotal role in driving best practice across the practice. She was instrumental in Bluesky Architects achieving ISO 14001 accreditation in 2025, reinforcing the practice’s commitment to environmental responsibility and continual improvement.

This promotion recognises Gemma’s long-standing dedication, leadership and outstanding contribution to Bluesky Architects. The practice congratulates her on this well-deserved achievement.
