May 13, 2021

Bluesky has a strong design portfolio in the healthcare sector. Projects range from design of new build large community based primary care facilities, acute trust facilities, mental healthcare facilities and mixed-use wellbeing centres through to the refurbishment and remodelling of existing GP practices or small variation works.

Our design team have supported healthcare stakeholders from across the healthcare sector by providing a full architectural design service from RIBA stages 0-7, including;

  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Feasibility studies
  • Business case development
  • Strategic site master planning
  • Strategic and operational healthcare planning

We have worked on many complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. Our team are experts in client engagement, sweating the assets, controlling the brief and project approval processes.

These challenges aside, one of the first hurdles for any project is procuring the right partner and the time and cost involved in ensuring you have a compliant process.

To help with this, Bluesky are appointed on the NHS Business Services Framework for architectural design services.

It’s free to access and use, OJEU compliant and is open for all public sector authorities to use.

Alison Quinn, Director said: “Over the past 15 years Bluesky has successfully delivered over 40 health care schemes, ranging from Acute Health barn operating theatres to new build Primary Health care centres and small GP variation works. Most recently we have worked with NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) on the recently opened Little Hulton Health Centre in Salford and our design team are actively working on a new healthcare facility in Lower Broughton, Salford which is designed to be a Net Zero Carbon building. Both of these recent projects included digital consultation spaces to meet the changing needs of primary care patient triage.”
