Bluesky Design Services – experts in Blue Light projects

March 23, 2021

Bluesky are design experts in Blue Light projects working with the emergency services on a range of projects involving fire and rescue trusts, ambulance trusts and regional police forces. We have a proven capability of designing cost effective, high quality flexible design solutions that meet the rigorous and complex needs of these multifaceted user groups.  We have designed modern efficient facilities to reflect the national drivers towards collaborative and shared working whilst engaging with the wider community.

In recent years Bluesky has provided lead architectural design services to 20+ projects. Bluesky led on the delivery of eight new Community Fire Stations for the North West Fire and Rescue Authority. The wider scheme delivered sixteen stations across three separate Fire Services: Lancashire, Cumbria and Merseyside. This included Cumbria Fire & Rescue Control and Rescue Centre which was shortlisted for an RICS Award. All projects achieved either BREEAM very good or excellent.

Bluesky also work in partnership with Capra Architects to provide design solutions and ballistic consultancy for police and military training facilities including specialist ballistics and fire arm training centres and police support accommodation across the UK.

Alison Quinn, Director said: “Bluesky have current experience of the strategic and operational needs of our emergency services partners. We understand the complexity of meeting operational needs and delivering the scheme within time and the budget. All our projects have involved working with the end user and client to maximise value from the project, without compromising design quality.“
